Site Manager

Starbreeze Group is now looking for a Site Manager for a VR Park in Dubai. This theme park is a state of the art virtual reality park utilizing cutting-edge technology and this position has a broad remit and is responsible for every aspect of the day-to-day operations of a VR park for Starbreeze attractions. This includes key functions, such as:

  • On-site managing the customer experience
  • Direct customer engagement
  • Strategic planning and development
  • Advertising & marketing planning and oversight
  • Monitoring health and safety
  • Overseeing finances & budgeting
  • Revenue optimization
  • Training & staff management in all areas 

As the Site Manager your responsibility will be to propose and implement strategies to constantly improve customer satisfaction and park development. Additionally, you will oversee or take part in the marketing of the park in order to generate business. You will also be involved in all areas of the park, including VR Experiences, ride maintenance, retail and related food and beverages.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Planning and implementing strategies to achieve constant improvements in visitor and employee relations and satisfaction.
  • Keeping abreast of developments in the industry, both internal and external, such as changes in legislation, including those related to immigration.
  • Overseeing the effective application of health and safety regulations and risk assessment to ensure a safe environment for park employees and the public.
  • Setting budgetary and financial strategies.
  • Liaising with contractors, e.g. for the installation and integration of facility changes.
  • Dealing with HR tasks and personnel.
  • Understanding local community issues and building relationships with local government and external partners.
  • Maintaining a critical oversight of marketing functions.
  • Monitoring and optimizing price structure and incentives.
  • Monitoring competition in development, customer service and marketing.
  • Supervising regular staff training on first class customer service, up-sell, safety, maintenance and problem resolution; and, incentivizing staff.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years relevant experience, ideally two of which in the Middle East. Theme park experience essential.
  • Bachelor Degree from an internationally recognized institution.
  • First class communication skills, verbal and written (English).
  • Ability to be responsible and have ownership of the park plus role accountability.
  • Resourceful and solution driven.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and motivate team.
  • Customer service experience, whether in theme parks or a related area is crucial. 
  • Proven management experience, preferably within the leisure industry.
  • Ability to learn quickly as much as possible about the industry.
