Senior Producer, Third Party Publishing
Starbreeze Entertainment is looking for a Senior Producer to supercharge the support we provide to our Third Party Publishing development studios and facilitate smooth, well-planned, expertly-guided development cycles and product launches. This role would help our organization by owning a set of titles in active development and ensuring that all tasks across production are addressed and completed in a timely manner. As Starbreeze is fully committed to providing a long life-time value and support post release with our games the Producer will form long relationships with our partner studios. Our ideal candidate should love to play games and have a passion for the latest game development methods, tools, and platforms.
As Senior Producer for Third Party Publishing, you will be an integral part of the Third Party Publishing team at Starbreeze. Reporting to the Head of 3PP and working closely with external studio heads, your primary responsibility will be to provide daily production leadership and guidance to our projects and their teams. You will lead the daily work with our partner studios’ producers, and be the day-to-day representative of Starbreeze to our partner studios.
You are an analytical and data driven person who is passionate about planning, efficiency, and engaging teams in continuous improvement of game development tools and processes. You will ensure the game projects are planned and produced efficiently, on time, on budget and to the right level of quality.
Areas of responsibility:
Own the production deliverables of 2-3 externally produced games in various stages of development
Set and implement clear development frameworks; including task tracking, decision making pipelines, and consistent tools usage.
Develop project indicators that track project quality, delivery, and predictability.
Identify and implement improvements to the established processes across all projects on an ongoing basis.
Identify potential game risks early and formulate strategies to mitigate or escalate as necessary
Help establish direction and strategy for each project’s execution while ensuring alignment with internal and external leadership.
Generate gameplay evaluation reports and identify key areas of improvement
Review and advise on each studio’s resource plan considering the needs of their project and discipline, with a clear view on both the immediate and the future.
Continuously monitor the studio capacity plans in order to provide each project with the necessary conditions to succeed.
Source and manage external contractors for localization, porting, and QA testing
Provide a point of escalation for conflict management and problem solving.
Be prepared to actively help projects execute on their plans and milestones.
Experience:
Extensive experience as a Producer in the games industry, at a studio working with a publisher or at a publisher working with third party developers.
Proven experience in releasing multiple live service, multi-platform, online games and seeing them through all phases of the development cycle.
Good experience of managing various stakeholders, and an understanding of how to visualize status for both teams and executives.
Experience in negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution in complex project setups.
Focused on facilitating, motivating, and inspiring team(s) to work as one team towards clear project goals to execution.
