IT Systems Engineer
Starbreeze is looking for a new colleague to join our IT department based in Stockholm. We’re a global and flexible organization with people working both in our Stockholm office and remotely, which brings a lot of interesting challenges to our IT department.
In this role you will work closely with all teams as our production teams and partners are heavily dependent on IT. We are looking for someone who likes to work with both operational and strategic questions to best support the whole organization. In this role you will implement and maintain traditional IT solutions on-site as well on cloud-based infrastructure and utilize modern frameworks to support daily business operations as well as ongoing AAA game development projects.

Responsibilities:
- Automation of tasks
- Backup and recovery (implement and maintain)
- Documentation (implement and maintain procedures)
- Improve the infrastructure and workflow (onboarding, deployment, working from home etc)
- Troubleshoot software and hardware for the end user.
- Maintain, secure and restrict access to new and existing services.
- Monitoring and reporting of services (implement and maintain)
- Responsible for all services used by the studio are up and running.
- Review and implement software to be used
- Use your experience to support the studio teams hands-on when they need assistance
- Contribute to proactive first line support when required
Requirements:
- Experience working in a similar role within the games industry
- Extensive experience in an agile environment in a key role part of IT
- Extensive experience of scripting language experience using Python, Powershell or similar
- Advanced experience with Windows and Linux (including remote management of devices)
- Experience with global IT operations, cloud services
- Experience with virtualization platforms
- Knowledge in the Google environment
- Experience in a similar role from tech/gaming environment
- A proactive, organized and strategic mindset
- To be fluent in English, both verbally and in writing
Nice to have:
- Knowledge in Unreal Engine Development, SVN, Perforce, Github, VMWare, Proxmox, Amazon Cloud Services, Network, VPN and firewalls
