Senior Technical Artist
We are looking to hire a Senior Technical Artist to join our team to support our in-development projects. You will create in-engine tools, interactive game objects, materials and shaders using Blueprints and other systems in Unreal Engine 4 and 5.
As a Senior member of our studio, you will be expected to contribute at a more advanced level, whilst also guiding and mentoring less experienced colleagues. You will also collaborate with peers and other departments to achieve optimal outcomes and solutions, and bring the Technical Art team’s perspective into cross-departmental discussions and look at how tech can aid our ideas and products.
Please note that this role must be based in Stockholm with Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday as set office days.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain interactive game objects using Blueprints;
Create in-engine tools to streamline production and improve workflows;
Work with materials and shaders using Unreal’s Material Editor;
Maintain documentation for technical assets and tools;
Profiling of our games to ensure desired performance;
Mentor and support less experienced colleagues within the Technical Art and Central Tech teams.
Requirements:
Experience working as a Technical Artist or similar role on multiple AA+ console/PC game titles;
Extensive experience working with Blueprints in Unreal Engine 4 and/or 5;
Proficiency in material scripting and shader development within Unreal;
Proven ability to create high-quality assets, in-game materials, and interactive elements;
Experience with game profiling.
Previous experience in a Senior position mentoring less experienced colleagues.
Nice to have:
Understanding of real-time graphics and expertise in creating realistic shaders;
Familiarity with UMG widgets and UI development;
Knowledge of the custom primitive data pipeline;
Leadership experience;

60-minute video call with our Head of Technology and a Senior Technical Artist
60-minute video call or onsite interview with a Senior Technical Artist and another member of the project from an adjacent team
