Junior IT Support Technician
Hi š Iām Luke, Talent Acquisition Manager here at Starbreeze, and Iām looking for a Junior IT Support Technician to join Thomasā IT team here in our Crew.
You will be ITās first point of contact for our employees, providing technical support, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive user experience. The ideal candidate is a service-minded person with some related work experience and a passion for games.
So, do you have a knack for turning your colleaguesā frowns upside down by troubleshooting and helping out? Then we want to hear from you!
Please note that this role must be based in our Stockholm office 5 days per week.
What you'll be doing:
š Be a user champion: Respond to servicedesk tickets and in-person requests, troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues, and guide users with clear instructions.
š Resolve and track: Log issues in our ticketing system, escalating where necessary, and ensure your colleagues are happy with the support they get.
š Keep things running smoothly: Help with setting up new equipment, routine maintenance, and making sure our systems are always in top shape.
š¤ Team up: Work closely with the rest of the IT team, share your knowledge, and help us make our support processes even better.
š§ Share the knowledge: Create helpful guides and documentation, and maybe even run some basic training sessions to help everyone become a tech superstar.
What we're looking for:
You've got some experience under your belt as a 1st or 2nd line IT support technician.
You're fluent in English (both written and verbal) and a strong communicator, able to communicate technical information to less technical colleagues clearly and understandably.
You know your way around internal computer components and troubleshooting.
You have experience configuring and troubleshooting OS-related issues in Windows and macOS.
You have knowledge of basic networking concepts and troubleshooting.
Youāre comfortable installing, replacing and troubleshooting hardware.
You have experience installing and reinstalling operations systems from scratch.
Youāre comfortable both working independently and as part of a team.
Youāre curious and eager to learn, especially related to technology.
You're passionate about games and the gaming industry!
Bonus points if you have:
Prior experience working with Microsoft Intune.
Experience working with and administrating Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra ID or similar cloud-based identity providers.
An understanding of game development and build systems.
A security mindset.
Enjoy writing documentation.

30-minute Google Meet call with a member of our Talent Acquisition team.
1-hour interview with our Head of IT and IT Support Technician.
1-hour interview with our IT Systems Engineer and HR Specialist.
